Here’s another installment in my resort wear collection. This one-piece bathing suit is called “Cancun”. It has draped fabric in the front to cover your important areas and is completely backless so you look good leaving. It comes in ten jewel toned and neutral colors.

I like a lot of the items in my collection this spring, but I love this dress! It is so cute for both SL and RL. It’s prefect for an evening event which calls for something a little nicer than the classic “club” top and jeans. It is totally my LBD (Little Black Dress) of the moment. This is especially great for spring because it incorporates the glitz, volume, empire, and mini dress trend.

I’m finally putting my Spring/Summer 2007 Resort Wear Line out for sale in my store later this week. I’ve been working on this for a while now. As some of you may or may not know I’ve been taking classes in RL to help build my fashion skills. I figured it’d be a lot easier to come up with a resort line in SL than to have to sew it in RL. I will be making some of these in RL but for now you have them in SL. There will be more to come in the next couple months.

I saw this article the other day in the NY Post and have been meaning to blog about it. I was reminded about it when I saw it in another blog. Apparently Forever 21 (F21) is being sued by Diane Von Furstenberg for basically copying one of her dresses. If you take a look at the article is has pictures of both dresses. They are very similar. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Stuff like this happens all the time in SL. You can’t really do much other than yell at the offending individual till they take the content down. At least in RL you can take legal action.

Hair Fair 2007 coming tomorrow!!! 10 AM SLT on April 6, 2007! Be there or be bald!

What: 2nd Annual Hair Fair
Where: Adjoining Sims of Prim Paradise and Hermit Heaven (south of ETD and Celestial City)
When: April 6, 10 AM SLT through April 14, 11:59 PM SLT
Why: To showcase new products from SL’s hair community. To show the general public that there are more than just 3 or 4 hair designers out there and to show the broad range of everyone’s styles, tastes, aesthetic, and craftsmanship.
Extras:
All participants have agreed to donate at least 30% of the proceeds from at least one hairstyle, for sale, to the charity Locks of Love. Not only are we just showcasing and selling hair, but trying to make a difference. Keep track of donations/contributions and funds raised here. Special thanks to Sol Columbia for hooking us up with a script and an awesome way to keep track of donations!
Events:
*Bandana day: To promote charity/awareness. A play off of an event in Australia. Instead of wearing hair on the last day of Hair Fair, everyone teleporting onto the hair fair site should wear a bandana. Special bandanas made specifically for this event will be for sale throughout the week of Hair Fair with 100% of the proceeds going to the Locks of Love.
*Community Hair Project: The hair designers of SL have joined forces and talents to create special hairstyles (4 styles) that will be auctioned off separately with all proceeds going to the Locks of Love. These hairstyles are one of a kind and have prims contributed by SL’s best hair designers. Bidding will take place throughout the week and winners will be announced shortly after Hair Fair closes at 11:59 PM SLT, April 14, 2007.
*Guess the Designer: A handful of designers’ pictures will be on display…absolutely bald. Correctly name each designer and win a cash prize. Amounts to be announced.
Who: Over 50 of SL’s top hair designers!!
