Tee Off! - Part Duex

Friday, March 30th, 2007

Remember this post? Tee Off!

Last Saturday I got an email from F0rever 21 letting people know that some of their tees and camis are now $3.80 and $4.80! Obviously they aren’t going to be the highest quality tee shirt, but at $4 a piece you can’t go wrong. They’re so cheap you could get one for everyday of the month if you liked. Check em out!

Sporty Chic - Eva Longoria

Friday, March 30th, 2007

People Magazine’s Stylewatch Issue for April has a section dedicated to cool casual style, so I totally have casual weekend style on my mind. I saw this picture of Eva Longoria and Mario Lopez on People.com, and all I could think is “She looks great”. The bomber style cut of her track jacket is so cute and her track pants have a flattering wide leg style. She’s casaul but still well put together, and not sloppy. The big sunglasses (even though it’s night time) look great with the whole ensemble.

Everything looks good together, however I recommend saving the sunglasses for the day time.

Abaete for Payless Spring 07 Collection

Friday, March 30th, 2007

I really love the whole idea of fashion designers doing a mini line for mass retailers like Payless or Target. I saw in an email from Glam.com that currently Abaete, Laura Poretzy, is doing a line of super cute shoes and handbags for Payless. I want the Ana Maria Flat ($20), the Madison Peep-Toe Pump ($25), and the Sullivan Clutch($18). Great styles for a great prices. You can take a look at her fall 2007 runway collection here.

Tee Off!

Jennifer Aniston

No I’m not going to talk about golf fashion. Maybe some other time. I’m talking about tee-shirts. I love tee-shirts. They’re so versatile and come in many styles and colors (e.g. long sleeved, vneck, crew-neck, boat neck…). Three different people can wear the exact same tee-shirt in three completely different ways (boho-chic, preppy, or urban-chic). I don’t generally advocate buying multiples of the same thing in different colors, however if you find a tee-shirt brand that fits you well, stock up. Even better when they’re on sale. Here’s four different brands/stores that I highly recommend.

American Apparel - They have a huge variety of styles and colors. The other great thing about them is their factory is right here in the US, not outsourced to other countries like other companies.

Buy Online - Yes

Buy In-store - Yes

Price Range - $15-$35

The Gap - I have one word for them, “Classic”. There are Gap’s everywhere, so stop by a store and try some on.

Buy Online - Yes

Buy In-store - Yes

Price Range - $12.50-$24.50

Shop Bop (Bop Basics) - They just started a line of clothing basics about a month or so ago. Again they have a lot of styles and colors. I haven’t purchased any from them yet. If anyone has leave a comment and let us know if they fit well and how they are quality-wise. Shop Bop is a online store only.

Buy Online - Yes

Buy In-store - No

Price Range - $35-$60

Wetseal, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe - If you can fight your way through the herds of leggings-clad middle schoolers, you can find tons of basic tees. These places are great if you’re not wanting to pay more than $20 bucks for a tee shirt. They usually have sales or promotions like two for $15 or $20. You can buy things both online and in store with Wetseal and Forever 21. Charlotte Russe does not have a online store.

Buy Online - Wetseal: Yes, Forever 21: Yes, Charlotte Russe: No

Buy In-store - Wetseal: Yes, Forever 21: Yes, Charlotte Russe: Yes

Price - $7-$15

I’ll let you know where you can find a tee-shirt similar to Jennifer’s in the picture above in my next post.
