Public Service Announcement

I haven’t posted in really long while but I felt the need to point this out. There are some people running around out there that believe it is all right to wear leggings with a top that doesn’t go past your hips. Allow me to point out that it looks tacky, and makes even the skinnest chick look like she’s carrying some extra weight.
I’m not the biggest fan of leggings but if you’re going to wear them wear them with a longer shirt that goes past your hips or a shorter dress. DO NOT wear them as pants alone. That goes for the 11 years olds too. I don’t know how many times I’ve been in the mall and I see a really young girl wearing leggings as pants. PLEASE mothers don’t let your daugthers leave the house like this.
Thank you for reading my public service announcement.
Trend Watch

Women across the world breath a sigh of relief. Well probably not quite on that large of a scale. I just want to say thank you to Ms. Kate Moss for wearing these flare jeans. She was one of the first people to start wearing the skinny jean look over a year ago. After that there was the huge onslaught of celebs wearing them. If a large majority of us haven’t yet, skinny jeans only look good on people who are a less than a size 2. As cool a chic as they look I’m glad that there might be some hope that they will be a trend that’s fading soon. I would like for them to come and go about as fast as those horrible gauchos did. I accepted early in the game that with my body shape, skinny jeans were not for me. Instead I found other ways to weare jeans in a up to date way.
Here’s a list of ways to update your flare leg denim look for the fall:
- Darker washes
- Higher waists
- Trouser-like cuts
- Straighter legs; not too bell-bottomy
If you can wear skinny jeans an look good, more power to ya. From the rest of us, thanks Kate.
Great Find

This stuff is great…Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer.
It has just the right amount of color in my opinion. Not too dark not too light. I like it cause I can wear it to work without looking overly made up. Not to mention it leaves my lips supersoft and kissable. Not like I’m kissing at work or anything, you should see the people I work with.
It contains peppermint oil so it smells great and gives your lips a cool tingling sensation. They come in like 6 or so other colors. For $3.69 at CVS you won’t be breaking the bank.
Do It for Less
For those of you that are working on a budget, Forever 21 has a descent selection of cute dresses for great prices. My only complaints are they don’t accept returns, only exchanges or store credits, and since you’re paying such a low price the quality isn’t always that great.
Pros
- Cheap
- Fashionable
Cons
- Not so great return policy
- Generally you get what you pay for.
