Frock Off

I know this isn’t fashion related but I can’t keep it to myself. Devendra Banhart (singer/Natalie Portman’s boyfriend) cleans up very nicely. Look at the before and after.

I love this plaid button up from Elizabeth and James. The print is not overly retro or western, but the best part is the back. There are buttons in the back so you can wear it as tight or as loose as you’d like. Genius! You can get it from Intermix for $225.

I saw this picture of Solange Knowles (AKA Beyonce’s little sister) on People.com, while promoting her new CD. I noticed that her nails were painted in alternating black and white. I think I kinda like it. What do you think?

I know. I know. I’m borderline obsessed. I don’t know why either.

PS. I think she lightened her hair to a dark brown. Me likie.

I don’t know how I had been missing this site. It’s apart of the Sugar network. You can assemble outfits and save your looks. I found it because of the Lucky Mag’s Ultimate Summer Closet Contest. Here are some looks I put together two for the contest and the rest are just for fun.

She Does the City is a site I try to look at every couple of weeks or so. They have good articles and a street style section called Style Scout. I always find some great inspiration and I’ve been meaning to post some of my favorite pictures. Here you go!

I love the cut of the skirt and blouse. Even the color combo. I could without the white lace leggings.	This chica looks fierce.
I like how the girl to the left dressed up a simple knit black dress. I’d go for a different print robe though.	They’re all super cute but I like the skirt on the girl to the right.
This picture is from the winter. I just like the overall ensemble.

I already mentioned this earlier, but I’m excited that they’re coming back. Flares are so much more flattering on everyone than skinny jeans. Keep it up girlies.
